I am a God fearing, Constitution carrying, conservative Republican.  I am a retired Colonel, Airborne Ranger, and a recovering lawyer.  My decision to run for political office for the first time in my life was born in the Tea Party movement.  I share your anger at what is happening to our country, and your determination to take our country back.  I am proud to have been endorsed by both the Grand Junction Results and the Southern Colorado Tea Parties.

I am committed to finding Practical Solutions to Real Problems through traditional Republican values; limited government, lower taxes, free markets, protecting individual and States’ rights, and defending our country against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Our nation is in crisis.  There is no time to waste on politics as usual.  We must take back control of the House this year to stop the march towards Marxism. I seem to be outside the favored GOP circle.  That’s OK. For me God, Country, and Family come first. Party comes second.  We will take our country back by uniting the energy, and conservative values of the Tea Party movement with the wisdom and political skill of the GOP.  United we win.  We will win this fight, because failure is not an option.

Protecting Our Homeland - I believe protecting our homeland is the most important responsibility we, the people entrust to the federal government

DECLARATION OF WAR

PROTECTING OUR HOMELAND.  I believe protecting our homeland is the most important responsibility we, the people entrust to the federal government.  Do you feel safe knowing that Janet Napolitano is in charge?   President Obama, after a year in office, has finally acknowledged that we are at war.  That is a good start, but it is not enough.  We, the people gave Congress the power to declare war.  The people must demand that Congress get about the business of protecting us.  It is up to us to act because it is apparent that our government in Washington, to whom we have entrusted our common defense, will not.

SITUATION

Militant Islam is on the rise all over the world.  The 9/11 Commission Report was a best seller in 2004.  Take it off the shelf and re-read it.  Chapter 2 summarizes that in February, 1998, Usama Bin Laden declared war on the United States.  The rallying cry of the World Islamic Front is to murder any American, anywhere on earth.  No differentiation is made between soldiers and civilians, we all are targets.

Bin Laden knows history.  He has been emboldened by President Carter’s ineptitude during the Iranian hostage crisis, President Reagan’s withdrawal from Lebanon, President Clinton’s inattention during attacks on our military personnel, embassies in Africa, and the USS Cole, followed by his withdrawal from Somalia, President Bush’s inability to mobilize the American people for war, and President Obama’s willingness to negotiate. Bin Laden sees us as weak and lazy, more worried about our money than the mortal danger he represents. Like it or not, we are in a fight that will not end until we have destroyed those who declared war on us.

MISSION

Protect our homeland by destroying our enemies.

EXECUTION

I have drafted a Declaration of War Congress should be debating now.  Here it is.
  1.  A State of War exists between the United States and Enemies who advocate, plan, prepare, attempt, or execute acts of violence against the United States or our citizens.
  2. We direct the President to mobilize and employ the entire might of the United States to secure our air, land and sea borders, and locate, kill or capture our Enemies wherever they may be found.
  3. Any Nation that knowingly provides support or safe haven to our Enemies shall be deemed to have committed an act of war against the United States.
  4. Our Enemies shall be treated as enemy combatants subject to detention by the Armed Forces of the United States until this State of War is concluded.
  5. Our Enemies shall be subject to trial in Military Tribunals, and to punishment, including death, imposed by such Tribunals.
  6. No person who properly executes, or has properly executed their sworn duty to protect us from our Enemies shall be subject to trial.
  7. No inferior Court shall have jurisdiction to hear any challenge to this Declaration of War.
Pray with me that our leaders find the courage to protect us from our Enemies.
