I am a God fearing, Constitution carrying, conservative Republican.  I am a retired Colonel, Airborne Ranger, and a recovering lawyer.  My decision to run for political office for the first time in my life was born in the Tea Party movement.  I share your anger at what is happening to our country, and your determination to take our country back.  I am proud to have been endorsed by both the Grand Junction Results and the Southern Colorado Tea Parties. 

I am committed to finding Practical Solutions to Real Problems through traditional Republican values; limited government, lower taxes, free markets, protecting individual and States’ rights, and defending our country against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Our nation is in crisis.  There is no time to waste on politics as usual.  We must take back control of the House this year to stop the march towards Marxism. I seem to be outside the favored GOP circle.  That’s OK. For me God, Country, and Family come first. Party comes second.  We will take our country back by uniting the energy, and conservative values of the Tea Party movement with the wisdom and political skill of the GOP.  United we win.  We will win this fight, because failure is not an option.

Restoring Trust in Government - President Obama said in his report of the State of the Union, "there is a deficit of trust in how Washington works".

President Obama said in his report on the State of the Union, “there is a deficit of trust in how Washington works.”  Polls show that a majority of Americans would rather pick names out of a phonebook than be governed by this Congress.  Americans fear that the power they delegated to the Federal government is being misused and abused.  I am determined to restore our pride in America, and in being Americans.  That starts with restoring trust in our government.  Here is how I plan to do that.

• Get career politicians out of the system.
• Eliminate the perks.
• Every law applies to every citizen.
• Term limits for all elected officials.
• Term limits for all federal judges.
• Return power to the States.
• Determine the constitutionality of every pending and existing law.
• Balance the budget.
• Audit the Federal Reserve.
• Let the free market set interest rates.
• Tie our currency to gold or silver.
• Repeal the 16th Amendment and adopt the FairTax.
• Be there for the people.  Listen to them, and learn from them.

That is what I want to do.  We are in a fight for our way of life, for our freedom.  Join me in the fight, because failure is not an option. “Do not go gently into the night.  Rage, rage against the dying of light!”
