I believe the secret ballot is fundamental to strong democracy.  This applies whether we are voting for members of congress, or whether to join a union.  I oppose replacing the secret ballot with card checks in union elections.  Everyone should be required to identify themselves, and show they are entitled to vote before they cast their secret ballot. John Salazar has voted against uniform standards for identification.
